If your Mum no longer wishes to wear her badge, don’t through it away. Up cycle it, so use it for something else. Some ideas to help:-

As you rush off to pin the badge to your Mum, take a breath. Do you throw the card away? Well let’s be honest, you could! But you could also do something else with it instead. Try these few ideas for inspiration…..
Use the card as a bookmark. Use your pens or pencils to decorate it - if you want - and slip it between the pages of your favourite book.
Use the card to store ribbon, wool or thread. We always keep ribbon, wool and twine that comes on presents, new clothes and all manor of things. To store the newly acquired ribbon; simply wind it around the card. You might need a little bit of tape to hold it in place or ask an adult to cut a slit into the side (about 1cm deep) and the end of your ribbon can sit happily in there.
