Encourage your friend to reuse the card the token comes on, it could be used as a bookmark. They could use their pens or pencils to decorate it and slip it between the pages of their favourite book.
They could use the card to store ribbon, wool or thread. We always keep ribbon, wool and twine that comes on presents, new clothes and all manor of things. To store the newly acquired ribbon; simply wind it around the card. They might need a little bit of tape to hold it in place or ask an adult to cut a slit into the side (about 1cm deep) and the end of your ribbon can sit happily in there.
