Badges may leave holes in delicate fabrics. So please check to see if its ok to pin the badge before you do so.
Please make sure you take the badge off any clothing before it goes in the wash. The badge will not survive and neither will the clothing.
So DO NOT:
Eat the badges – Why would you??
Give the badges to small children. The pin could really hurt them.
Rip the badge off your clothing – you’ll make a hole.
Pin the badge to delicate fabrics – that will make a hole too.
Poke anyone with the pin (including yourself!)– it will hurt, adults will get cross and you will get in lots of trouble.
Use the badge as a frisbee, a weapon or a hockey puck. It’s a badge!
Up cycling
Once Christmas is over you can always put your badge away for next year. Ruby has a box that she stores all her Christmas things in. They don’t get lost and they are a nice surprise the following year!
You can also reuse your badge. Simply design a new face for the badge on a piece of paper or card and stick the new design to the front. You can do this with Sellotape.
Another Use….
Don’t forget, if you get fed up of your lovely new purchase (as we all change our minds from time to time!) or if you no longer need your item - donate it to a family member or friend. If its still in good condition it can also go to your local charity shop. They will sell your item to help pay for the good things they do. Don’t forget to ask an adult if it’s ok before you part with any of your things.
